Avocor shows off first Windows Collaboration Display at Microsoft Inspire

Avocor is taking advantage of Microsoft's Inspire 2022 partner issue in Las Vegas to show off its first Windows Collaboration Display (via MSPU). Announced in June, this new category of devices is inspired by the Surface Hub and Hub 2, giving companies access to massive collaboration screens for employees to use as collaboration tools during meetings and brainstorming sessions.

At the fourth dimension of their announcement, not much was known about these new displays. However, Avocor has at present given a piffling more information on what to expect from its entry. The device features a 4K display running at 60 hertz, and is powered by a PC connected over a unmarried USB-C cable. Avocor doesn't brand mention of the brandish sizes that will be available, but information technology does confirm that they'll feature 20-point touch and "uncommonly responsive and pixel-perfect touch." That's in addition to inking capabilities congenital for Microsoft 365 apps like Whiteboard and Teams.

In addition, the collaboration displays will include integrated cameras, stereo speakers, and far-field microphones, along with an included pen. Born sensors will too connect the displays to Azure IoT Smart Spaces.

Says Avocor CEO Scott Hix:

Avocor is working with Microsoft to advance the client feel then it'south easy and effective. We have worked together with Microsoft to ensure the Windows collaboration displays by Avocor perform flawlessly, maximize the Microsoft 365 experience for teams and integrate seamlessly into every enterprise.

Aside from Avocor, Precipitous has also been confirmed to be working on its ain collaboration display, featuring a lxx-inch screen and a loftier-resolution conference camera.

Avocor says that its first Windows Collaboration Displays will launch "later on this summer."
